The S7 NetMusic App is a specialized application developed exclusively for integration with the Systemline S7 multiroom audio system. Optimized for iOS7 and compatible with iOS8, it transforms an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad into a versatile, remote multiroom controller capable of operation throughout a residence.

Notably, the app includes several integration features designed to facilitate compatibility with third-party control systems such as KNX™, Lutron™, Control 4™, and Crestron™. These features encompass 'punch through' functionality from third-party apps, support for automatic zone selection, and a seamless return path back to the initiating control interface.

The home screen presents a straightforward interface, displaying the current time with alarm functionality and offering immediate access to favorite selections—these can include radio stations, albums, or playlists stored locally on the NetServer or streaming via on-demand services.

An optional in-app purchase allows users to enable a fully featured Player mode within the app, which is ideal for headphone listening or streaming to compatible speakers.

The app is universal, supporting both iPhone and iPad devices with a single purchase. Its main menu is fully customizable through an intuitive drag-and-drop process, enabling users to prioritize their preferred services and features effectively.

Performance speed is a key attribute of the app, complemented by an intuitive user interface. Users can browse their personal music library by categories such as Albums, Artists, or Genres, or search directly for specific tracks.

Integration with online streaming services is robust, offering a range of 'Plug-ins' including BBC iPlayer Radio™, Qobuz™, Spotify™, Deezer™, YouTube™, Tune-In™, among others. These services are presented and controlled in a consistent manner alongside locally stored music libraries.

Zone management features allow grouping for party modes or creating multiple separate groups via a simple drag-and-drop interface. Each zone within these groups can be individually controlled, with master volume adjustments and an option to turn all zones off simultaneously.

A dynamic playlist feature enables on-the-fly track additions and edits through simple drag-and-drop actions. This playlist can be saved for future use or added to favorites as desired.

The app includes a restricted access feature to limit control permissions for specific devices or zones—for example, preventing certain users from changing volume settings or music selections in sensitive areas such as the master bedroom.

Considering deployment options, the system supports using an iPod Touch or iPad as in-wall control devices. Special attention has been directed toward optimizing this functionality; notably, the iPod Touch interface is designed to operate seamlessly in landscape mode and can be awakened with a single tap on its screen without needing to press the home button.
